Flaring and Emissions Reduction Roundtable
Flaring and emissions are key public issues for oil and gas production. The expansion of flaring in Texas has alarmed many, including those in the industry. However, solutions are emerging to reduce flaring and emission from oil and gas production. The Flaring & Emissions Reduction Roundtable (FERR) is a focused one-day event developed to highlight successful and emerging technologies with the goal to speed adoption. The scope will include gas emissions reduction methods and technologies associated gas recovery systems from both tanks and flare systems and with flare and production monitoring technologies. Energy conversion technologies for gas-to-wire, gas-to-liquids are of interest as well as transportation solutions such as CNG and infrastructure improvement. New "tankless pad” development strategies that reduce pad storage liquids will be highlighted as well as operational changes that yield a lower carbon footprint. The event has been structured to be a highly interactive roundtable with end-user presentations supported by vendor exhibitions and emerging technologies sessions.

Hany Anis Zakhary | ITT Bornemann
Hany Zakhary has 20 plus years’ experience primarily in ESP downhole artificial lift. During the Schlumberger he was a technical lead for horizontal pumping systems. He has great experience in the Permian, and he was the leader for the largest contract North America for Schlumberger, based in Midland, TX. Over the past year he’s dedicated to a demanding market in multiphase pumping. ITT Bornemann is a leading provider with the most robust twin screw pumps engineered in Germany and packaged in the USA. For 16 years he has been happily married with two wonderful daughters.
In January 2012, Mr. Voorhis joined HY-BON /EDI and has been using his oil and gas permit expertise to overcome regulatory barriers. In May 1990, Mr. Voorhis joined the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, (TCEQ) where he provided engineering and technical assistance on pollution prevention in the United States and Mexico. In these diverse functions, he has successfully provided technology to many pollution prevention and environmentally conscious projects, resulting in over 250 million dollars a year in savings. He has extensive background in design, installation, start-up and troubleshooting of environmental control systems as well as commercialization of new processes and technology. His experience includes on-site industrial pollution prevention assessments, pollution prevention training, and expertise in overcoming regulatory barriers.
Prior Experience and Education
Jeffrey Lee Voorhis obtained the degree of Bachelor of Science in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from Kingsville Texas A & M University in 1983. Mr. Voorhis is a registered professional engineer in the State of Texas and has 12 years of private sector engineering experience in the petroleum industry, including work for the Texas Railroad Commission. He has many publications including preparation of Texas Pollution Prevention Assessment Manual and Case Studies of Source Reduction and Waste Minimization by Texas Industries. He has served on FOSTTA and many EPA committees. He is also was project leader for TSCA, PPIS, RCRA, Galveston Bay, and NICE3 grants. Mr. Voorhis is also a Registrar Accreditation Board Environmental Management Systems Lead Auditor for ISO 14000. He was the first certified EMS Lead Auditor in state service. Mr. Voorhis was named was TCEQ employee of the Year in Pollution Prevention in 2005.
Gary Cacciatore Midwest Regional Sales Manager & TDL National Sales
Gary Cacciatore currently serves as the Tunable Diode Laser (TDL) Applications Specialist for Cemtek KVB-Enertec, headquartered in Santa Ana, California. He has over 28 years of CEMS industry experience including ten years of experience at KVB where he served as a Project Engineer designing and managing over 200 CEMS. He then moved up to Product Management where he managed the MIP opacity product and CEMSCAN product lines. Most recently, Gary spent the last 10 years as Environmental Monitoring Manager at Tyco Environmental Systems and was responsible for managing the complete division including sales, marketing, service, parts, operations and testing. He also spent 6 years at the Emerson Rosemount Analytical Division serving as the Marketing and Sales Manager for the Process Analytical Division. Gary's long list of achievements in the CEMS industry also includes inventing and engineering several patented processes and analyzers. In addition to expanding the business for the TDL product line, he also serves as Business Development and Regional Sales Manager for Cemtek’s Midwest and International territory. Gary graduated from the State University of New York College at Buffalo in 1986 with a BS Degree in Industrial Technology
Adriana Cabal | BHGE
Adriana Cabal is Strategic Growth Leader in North America for Turbomachinery and Processing Solutions and part of the IMPACT leadership program at Baker Hughes. Previously she entered the XLP leadership program in August 2018 where she worked at HQ level on simplification initiatives for key functions. Adriana started in General Electric and has more than 10 years of commercial experience in the Turbomachinery Oil & Gas business where she has held different Sales and Commercial Roles in Latin America. She holds a Computer Science Engineer degree from Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia.
